Europe-on-Rails and Beach Escapes: Swiss–Paris–London Routes and Phu Quoc Honeymoons Lead New Plans
Plantrip users sketched 133 new itineraries in the past 24 hours, with two clear storylines: romantic beach escapes and multi-country Europe-by-rail routes. Honeymooners are zeroing in on Vietnam’s Phu Quoc and Brazil’s Bahia coast, while Europe planners are mapping seamless hops from Switzerland to Paris and onward to London for late summer 2026.
Couples are prominently featured in this wave of planning. Multiple entries target Phu Quoc—some combining Laos—for a 10-day March 2026 getaway, and a “honey moon” along North Brazil’s Bahia beaches for nine days highlights classic romantic sun-and-sand appeal. Short city breaks are trending too, with Vienna (Viena/Viena 4 dias) drawing four-day culture-and-dining stays that call out restaurants as a priority.
Rail-linked grand tours are another standout. Several detailed August–September 2026 routes trace Zurich Airport to Einsiedeln, then Paris, then London—some extending to Glastonbury, Innerleithen in Scotland, Annandale, Fermanagh, and finishing in Dublin. These plans emphasize manageable legs and iconic capitals, mixing small-town Swiss stops with big-city art, food, and history.
Road trips also feature strongly and span continents and styles: dog-friendly drives from Spokane to Omaha; cross-Canada, family-focused camping loops hitting Banff, Jasper, Yoho, and a U.S. return via Yellowstone and the Tetons; and quick two-day Valentine’s getaways around Delhi NCR. In the U.K., a family plan outlines a Hebrides-to-Highlands loop from Tranent to Stornoway, Glencoe, and Bridge of Earn, noting ferry pricing, Outer Hebrides beaches like Dalmore, the Callanish standing stones, and Glencoe hikes and biking.
Elsewhere, culture-forward city trips remain popular. Morocco birthday travel between Ouarzazate and Marrakech aims for a balance of relaxation and adventure; multiple Kathmandu itineraries focus on Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Durbar Squares, and Nagarkot views; and Greece and Ireland plans emphasize day-trip-friendly pacing—Irish rail legs capped at three hours, with the Cliffs of Moher, Dingle Peninsula, pubs, music, and Killarney in play. Asia food pilgrimages appear too, from Osaka-focused foodie runs out of Kuala Lumpur to 5-day Taiwan city breaks based in Ximending.
Short-haul beach and wellness picks dot the map: Goa long weekends (including road trips from Kankavli), Varkala in Kerala, Sri Lanka circuits (Mirissa, Kandy, Ahangama, Galle; some paired with Maldives boutique stays), and Thailand nine-day samplers. Italy keeps its pull with Eastern Sicily sketches—Taormina/Mt Etna, Modica, and Palermo—plus Rome and Paris week-long city stays. For U.S. urbanists, New York City micro-itineraries cram crown-access Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Times Square, and the Empire State Building into two-night stays, complete with museum time and Queens detours before JFK departures.
