Japan, Kerala and Croatia Lead a Busy Day of Multi-Stop Travel Planning
Japan emerged as a standout destination in the 117 itineraries created on Plantrip.io in the past 24 hours, with travelers mapping everything from quick city breaks to month-long shopping and culture trips. Tokyo, Mount Fuji, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka and Hiroshima featured prominently, while one family itinerary plotted an Osaka-to-Fukuoka journey with hidden gems, museums, local food and senior-friendly pacing.
India remains a major source of ambitious domestic travel plans. Kerala drew repeated requests from Pune, Chennai, Bengaluru and Tamil Nadu, with travelers trying to combine Munnar, Varkala, Alleppey, Wayanad, Kovalam, Kanyakumari and Thiruvananthapuram’s Padmanabhaswamy Temple. Pilgrimage-focused routes were also popular, including Varanasi and Ayodhya, Nashik and Trimbakeshwar, Puri, Tawang, Sikkim and Gujarat’s Dwarka, Somnath and Nageshwar.
European road trips were another defining theme. Travelers are planning rental-car circuits across Slovenia and Croatia—linking Zagreb, Ljubljana, Bled, Bovec, Piran, Rovinj, Plitvice Lakes, Split, Korčula and Dubrovnik—as well as France’s Normandy World War II sites, Mont-Saint-Michel, Giverny and Versailles. Mallorca, Switzerland, Italy, Lisbon, Paris and Cornwall also appeared in the day’s plans.
Nature and scenic driving are shaping many North American itineraries. California’s Big Sur, Carmel, Monterey, Santa Cruz and Sequoia-Kings Canyon are being paired into a seven-day loop, while other travelers are planning the Cabot Trail, Yellowstone camping and RV routes, New York’s Finger Lakes, Seattle with a Bainbridge ferry crossing, and a Buffalo-to-Toronto getaway.
Across the day’s activity, travelers showed a clear preference for detailed, practical journeys: rental cars, rail connections, family-friendly pacing, budget stays, local food and tightly scheduled sightseeing. From diving courses on Koh Tao to Perth beach days and Morocco budget breaks, the itinerary requests point to travelers seeking both headline attractions and highly personal, experience-led trips.
