Road Trips, Rail Routes and Niagara Falls Lead Plantrip’s Latest Travel Plans

Published August 16, 2026

Niagara Falls is emerging as a major draw in the latest 24 hours of planning on Plantrip.io, appearing in ambitious Canadian road trips from Ohio and British Columbia as travelers map routes onward to Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland. Among 96 newly created itineraries on August 16, 2026, Canada’s scenery-heavy journeys are sharing the spotlight with multi-country adventures across Europe and Asia.

Atlantic Canada is especially prominent. Travelers are planning five-day Newfoundland breaks centred on food, hiking, culture and hidden gems, alongside seven-day September Nova Scotia itineraries designed for coastal walks, boat outings and changeable weather. One route pairs the Canadian side of Niagara Falls with a coastal drive to Nova Scotia, while another connects Mission, British Columbia, with Charlottetown via Edmonton and Niagara Falls.

Long-haul planners are also building complex, experience-rich routes. A Melbourne-based itinerary links London, Scotland, Amsterdam, Switzerland, Munich and Singapore, while another traveler is plotting an overland budget journey from India through Southeast Asia, China, Mongolia, Russia, Central Asia and Jordan. China itineraries feature Shanghai, Beijing, Xi’an, Zhangjiajie, Fenghuang and Guilin/Yangshuo, with the Great Wall, ancient cities and dramatic mountain landscapes high on the agenda.

Shorter city and nature escapes remain firmly in the mix. New York visitors are scheduling Central Park, major museums, Broadway and sunrise on the Brooklyn Bridge; Hong Kong groups are prioritising Victoria Peak, Lantau cable cars and night tours; and families are planning relaxed cultural breaks in Hanoi and Sapa, Japan, Tbilisi and Wayanad. Domestic travelers are also seeking quick getaways to Nashville, Vermont, Lake Tahoe, Clearwater, Goa, Rishikesh and Lonavala.

Across the day’s plans, travelers are balancing landmark-heavy city breaks with slower outdoor travel: rail-only routes from San Francisco, hiking and coastal drives in eastern Canada, Yellowstone exploration from West Yellowstone, and beach-focused escapes in Greece, Thailand, Gokarna and the Maldives. The common thread is detailed, practical planning—often shaped by family needs, budget limits, train travel, photography stops and a desire to see more than one destination in a single trip.
