Temple Routes and Scenic Getaways Shape Plantrip Travel Plans

Published September 26, 2026

Temple circuits, mountain escapes and multi-stop road trips featured prominently in the 86 itineraries created on Plantrip.io in the 24 hours leading up to September 26, 2026. Many travelers were working out practical details—train connections, transport costs, hotel choices and tight schedules—rather than simply choosing a destination.

India accounted for a wide range of plans. Travelers mapped trips linking Dwarka, Nageshwar and Somnath, while others paired Varanasi, Mathura, Vrindavan and Ayodhya. A Rajasthan route covered Jaipur, Ranthambhore, Chittorgarh, Nathdwara, Udaipur, Mount Abu and Ahmedabad over 10 nights; shorter plans included family visits to Jaisalmer and a budget-conscious Delhi outing to temples, India Gate and Bangla Sahib.

Outdoor trips brought a different set of constraints. Ooty planners asked for quiet Nilgiri viewpoints away from crowded stops, while other itineraries centered on the Kuari Pass trek, Jibhi and a three-day Karnataka drive taking in Udupi, beaches and Jog Falls. A UK traveler planned three weeks across England, Scotland and Wales, combining hikes with historic houses and a Virginia Woolf-themed London walk.

International requests ranged from a Phuket week with a nine-month-old baby to a Vietnam itinerary combining Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh and time by the sea. Other travelers planned rail travel through London, Paris, Amsterdam and Copenhagen, a Sri Lanka trip avoiding familiar tourist stops, and an Australian journey timed around an October 2027 rugby match in Brisbane—with reef diving also on the agenda.
