Indian Road Trips and Pilgrimages Stand Out in Plantrip’s Latest Travel Plans

Published October 16, 2026

From Himalayan drives to coastal breaks, travelers created 119 itineraries on Plantrip.io in the 24 hours leading up to October 16, 2026. Indian destinations featured prominently, with planners asking for practical routes, manageable budgets and enough time to enjoy the journey—not just reach the next stop.

Several requests focused on road trips. Travelers mapped drives from Tinsukia toward Roing in Arunachal Pradesh, seeking waterfalls, river roads and mountain views while accounting for a single driver. Others planned Bangalore–Mysore–Ooty loops, Goa stays based in Arpora, and longer journeys through Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.

Spiritual travel was another recurring theme. Plans included temple visits in Dwarka and Somnath, an Umrah journey from Lahore, and a 10-day Uttarakhand itinerary linking Haridwar, Rishikesh, Devprayag and the Himalayan pilgrimage region. Many requests paired sacred sites with scenery, local food and comfortable places to stay.

Beyond India, travelers outlined public-transit trips around Ireland, rail-conscious routes across Europe, and visits to Japan, Costa Rica, Switzerland and the Philippines. The details were often personal: one Goa family wanted an accessible beach holiday and a quiet anniversary dinner, while a Tokyo traveler sought parks, old neighborhoods and art museums at a slower pace.
