Temple Road Trips and Thailand Getaways Stand Out in Plantrip’s Latest Travel Plans

Published October 31, 2026

Self-drive temple journeys across India stood out among the 85 itineraries created on Plantrip.io in the 24 hours leading up to October 31, 2026. Travelers mapped routes through Ujjain, Omkareshwar, Dwarka and Somnath, often combining pilgrimage stops with historic sites, riverfronts and local food.

Several plans asked for practical help with long drives. Routes through Gujarat paired the Statue of Unity with Somnath, Dwarka and Gir National Park, while Ujjain itineraries included Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, Ram Ghat and nearby Indore. Other travelers planned shorter trips to Pandharpur and Tuljapur, or day trips around Kaup.

Thailand was another recurring choice, particularly for trips in November and December. Multiple honeymoon requests paired Krabi and Phuket on a budget of 1.2 lakh including flights; one added Bangkok. Elsewhere in Asia, travelers planned a slow-paced Japan trip through Karuizawa, Nikko and Tokyo, and a Taiwan holiday built around night markets, Sun Moon Lake and Taipei 101.

The plans also showed how personal occasions shape itineraries. A couple wanted a relaxed Dubai anniversary trip with time to compare a skydive against a less expensive plan, while two friends put a December 18 birthday at the center of a Mauritius getaway. Other requests ranged from an Orlando Thanksgiving escape and an Arizona road trip to a New Zealand camper-van journey and an 80th-birthday celebration in Australia.
