Road Trips and Temple Visits Shape November 7 Travel Plans
From Scotland’s Shetland Islands to the temple towns of southern India, travelers used Plantrip to map out 58 itineraries in the 24 hours leading up to November 7, 2026. The requests show a strong appetite for road trips that balance major sights with food stops, scenery and time to slow down.
India features prominently. Travelers planned routes through Karnataka’s Badami, Hampi and Gokarna, including cave temples, ruins and beaches, while others mapped pilgrimages to Ayodhya and Varanasi or journeys through Rajasthan. One detailed Chennai-to-Madurai drive asked for non-vegetarian meals along the way and time to attend a wedding before the return trip.
Scenic driving also runs through plans farther afield. A Scottish itinerary calls for easy-to-moderate hikes, quieter landscapes, two nights in Edinburgh and four on Shetland. In the United States and Australia, travelers outlined trips along the Blue Ridge Parkway, through Pennsylvania’s Christmas City, across the Blue Mountains and around Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Several requests put practical needs at the center of the journey: dog-friendly travel between Washington and Oregon and through Atlantic Canada, a budget-conscious Florida family holiday, and a leisurely couples’ escape to McLeodganj. Together, the plans capture travelers looking for memorable stops without losing sight of the people—and pets—making the trip.
