Take Metro Line 4 from Beigongmen Station to Xuanwumen Station (about 30 mins), transfer to Line 1 and get off at Dawanglu Station (15 mins). Walk 7 minutes to The Place LED canopy mall, open till 11pm.
Walk from hotel to Jianxiangqiao Station, take Line 13 to Dongzhimen (4 stops), then Line 2 to Qianmen Station (4 stops). Walk 10 minutes to Forbidden City. Tickets ₹780, open 8am–5pm. Visit Jingshan Park nearby (₹130) for views from Coal Hill Peak.
Walk back to Qianmen Station, take Line 2 then transfer to Line 7 at Guangqumennei Station (accessible by metro, 25 mins). Enjoy lunch at Taj Mahal Indian Restaurant, open 11am–3pm and 5pm–10pm.
Take S2 suburban train back to Beijing North (1h15m), then metro Line 2 to Jianguomen Station, transfer to Line 1 and Line 14 to Jianxiangqiao Station (1h).
