A Tour of Bangkok, Phuket, Phi Phi, and Krabi

  • Day 1: Bangkok
    From Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) to City Center: 30 minutes (17 km)

    Explore the iconic Grand Palace, the former residence of Thai kings, and marvel at its intricate architecture and golden temples. Head to Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, which contains a 66-centimeter-tall image of the Buddha carved from a single block of jade. End the day with a visit to Khao San Road, a famous street known for its nightlife, street food, and bargain shopping.

  • Day 2-3: Phuket
    From Bangkok to Phuket: 1 hour 30 minutes (840 km)

For the second day, take a speedboat to Phi Phi Islands where you can discover the marine life by snorkeling, and visit the famous Maya Bay as featured in the Leonardo DiCaprio movie "The Beach."

  • Day 4-5: Phi Phi Islands
    From Phuket to Phi Phi Islands: 2 hours (46 km)

    Spend the first day of your stay on Phi Phi Island by visiting Viking Cave, Phi Phi Viewpoint, and Monkey Beach. Take a tour of Bamboo Island, known for its pristine water and white sand beaches. For your second day, enjoy a relaxed time and do kayaking or take a Thai cooking class.

  • Day 6-7: Krabi
    From Phi Phi Islands to Krabi: 2 hours (51 km)

    Start with a visit to Tiger Cave Temple, located in the jungle forest where you can climb up to the top of the mountain for panoramic views of Krabi town. Take a refreshing dip at the Emerald Pool & Hot Springs before concluding the day. For your second day, enjoy a visit to the Phi Hua Toh Cave & Crystal Pool, an off-beaten experience where you can swim in crystal clear waters and take a walk through the cave with rock formations.

Transportation

The most efficient way to move across the countries is by air. Internal flights between Bangkok, Phuket, and Krabi are readily available, and prices start approximately from 2,000 baht one way. Taxis and car services are also available, they are efficient if you're traveling in a group. The costs are approximately starting from 500 baht to 1,000 baht per day.

Useful Tips

If you have more time, you can take a day trip to Chiang Mai and visit the famous temples in the ancient city. For those interested in outdoor activities, add rock climbing, hiking or scuba diving in the other surrounding islands. If you have less time, remove a day from Phi Phi Island tour.

Airports

Thailand has several international airports. Bangkok has two airports; Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang International Airport (DMK). Phuket International airport (HKT) is the second busiest airport in Thailand after BKK. Krabi International Airport (KBV) offers international and domestic flights, and it is approximately 15 km from Krabi Town.
