3 hours 20 minutes (96 miles) from Mumbai

Start your day early to reach Kaas Plateau, known as Maharashtra's Valley of Flowers, before the crowds. The plateau is home to over 850 species of flowering plants, including many endemic species. Take a guided tour to learn more about the unique flora and fauna of the region. In the afternoon, head to Thoseghar Waterfalls, a 45-minute drive away. The falls are especially impressive during monsoon season, when the water flow is at its peak. After a picnic lunch, hike the nearby trails for a closer look and enjoy the tranquility of the surrounding forest. In the evening, drive to Panchgani, a 1.5-hour drive away, where you can spend the night.

  2. Day 2: Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar
30 minutes (13 miles) from Panchgani

Start your day with a visit to Table Land, Asia's second-longest mountain plateau, located in Panchgani. The plateau offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Spend the morning hiking or horseback riding on the plateau, or take a stroll through the nearby market to pick up some local souvenirs. In the afternoon, drive to Mahabaleshwar to visit Arthur's Seat, a popular viewpoint that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys. If time permits, visit the nearby Venna Lake for boating or horseback riding. End your day with a visit to Mapro Garden, known for its delicious strawberry products. Return to Mumbai in the evening.
