Recommendations

If you have time, consider visiting the Nangartas Waterfall, a hidden gem located around 5 km from Amboli Ghat. You can also take a day trip to the nearby Sawantwadi Palace, a beautiful palace built in the 18th century. Don't forget to try the local Konkani cuisine, especially the seafood. You can also hire a local guide who can take you to offbeat destinations and give you a deeper insight into the local culture and traditions.

Maximise your fun by carrying comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, and insect repellent. If you're visiting during the monsoon season, carry an umbrella or a raincoat as it can get quite rainy in Amboli Ghat during this time.

If you're planning a longer trip, consider visiting the nearby hill stations of Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar, which are famous for their strawberries and scenic beauty.
