6-Day Family Friendly Kerala Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Kochi
    30 minutes (21.5 km) from Cochin International Airport

    In the morning, visit the famous Fort Kochi and explore its heritage buildings and ancient churches. In the afternoon, take a boat ride to see the Chinese fishing nets in action and visit the nearby Mattancherry Palace. In the evening, attend a Kathakali performance, a traditional dance-drama of Kerala.

  2. Day 2: Munnar
    4 hours (129 km) from Kochi

    Start your day with a visit to the tea plantations, and then head to the Mattupetty Dam and Kundala Lake to enjoy the scenic views and boating. In the afternoon, visit the Rajamalai National Park to spot the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. End your day with a visit to the Tea Museum.

  3. Day 3: Thekkady
    3 hours (91 km) from Munnar

    Take a morning nature walk in the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, and then go for a boat ride on the Periyar Lake to spot the elephants and other wildlife.
