2-Day Itinerary for Gujarat in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Sabarmati Ashram
    15 minutes (5.1 km) from Ahmedabad Airport

    In the morning, visit the Sabarmati Ashram, where Mahatma Gandhi lived for nearly 12 years. The ashram houses a museum that showcases the life and teachings of Gandhi and his impact on the Indian Independence Movement. For lunch, head to Gordhan Thal, a popular vegetarian restaurant that serves authentic Gujarati food.

    In the afternoon, visit the Adalaj Stepwell, a stunning 5-story water well built-in 1498. Marvel at the intricate carvings and the Indo-Islamic architecture.     For lunch, stop at the Shanku's Water Park and Resort, where you can enjoy a meal and cool off in the water park. In the afternoon, drive to Patan, a city famous for its textiles. Visit the Patan Patola Heritage Museum to learn about the traditional art of Patan Patola weaving. In the evening, take a stroll through the Rani Talab, a lake in Patan that is surrounded by temples and gardens.
