In the afternoon, drive back to Ujjain and visit the Sandipani Ashram, where Lord Krishna and Sudama are said to have studied. End your day by sampling some of Ujjain's famous street food, including poha and jalebi.

If you have more time, consider visiting the nearby town of Mandu, which is famous for its ancient ruins and beautiful architecture. Another great side trip is to visit the Sanchi Stupa, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is located about 150 km from Ujjain.
