In the morning, head over to the Jhansi Fort, a historical monument that houses several temples, museums and palaces. The fort has a rich history dating back to the 17th century and was home to the great queen Rani Laxmi Bai. The museum within the fort displays a collection of artifacts from the Bundelkhand region. In the afternoon, visit the Rani Mahal, a beautiful palace that was once the residence of the queen. Later in the evening, enjoy some local street food at the Sadar Bazaar.
Start early in the morning and head to Panna National Park, a wildlife reserve known for its tigers, leopards, and sloth bears. Enjoy a jeep safari and spot various animals in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, visit the Pandav Falls, a beautiful waterfall located within the reserve. Spend the evening relaxing at your hotel or enjoy some drinks at one of the local bars.
If you have an extra day, consider visiting the Orchha Fort which is only 30 minutes from Jhansi. Also, try some local delicacies such as the famous Pani Puri and Lassi. For a side trip, consider visiting Khajuraho which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is known for its erotic sculptures.
