In the morning, we will start our journey to Athirappilly Waterfalls. Located in the Sholayar Range of the Western Ghats, this 80-foot high waterfall is surrounded by lush green forests and a variety of flora and fauna. It's a spectacular sight to see and perfect for nature lovers and photographers. Afternoon can be spent exploring the nearby Vazhachal Forest Gardens and taking the nature walk along the river. In the evening, we can head back to Kochi, with a stopover at the Kodanad Elephant Training Centre, where you can watch elephants bathing in the river, and indulge in elephant rides and feeding them with fruits.
Periyar National Park is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including elephants, tigers, deer, and various species of birds. In the morning, we will take a boat ride on the Periyar Lake to spot some wildlife, followed by a guided nature walk in the forest. In the afternoon, we can explore the nearby spice plantations and learn about the different spices and herbs grown in the area. In the evening, we will head back to Kochi and visit the famous Chinese Fishing Nets in Fort Kochi, where you can witness the traditional way of fishing used by the locals.
