7-Day Itinerary for Kedarnath and Badrinath

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple
    10 minutes from Kedarnath Bus Stand

    In the morning, visit the Kedarnath temple and witness its magnificent architecture and peaceful surroundings. Spend the afternoon trekking to Vasuki Tal. In the evening, attend the evening aarti at the temple.

  2. Day 2: Badrinath Temple

    Drive to Badrinath and explore the Badrinath Temple in the morning. After lunch, visit the Mana Village and witness the beauty of Vasudhara Falls. In the evening, attend the evening aarti at the temple.

  3. Day 3: Valley of Flowers
    1.5 hours (3 km) from Badrinath Temple

    Start early and drive to Govindghat to commence the 6 km trek to the Valley of Flowers National Park. Spend the day wandering through the beautiful meadows and valleys of the park. Return to Govindghat in the evening.

  4. Day 4: Hemkund Sahib
    20 minutes (6 km) from Govindghat

    Embark on a 6 km trek to Hemkund Sahib and experience the serene surroundings and the breathtaking view of the Himalayas. Return to Govindghat in the evening.

  5. Day 5: Rudranath Temple
    8 hours (225 km) from Govindghat

    Drive to Rudraprayag and trek to the Rudranath Temple through the beautiful forests of the valley. Spend the evening exploring the temple and the surrounding areas.

  6. Day 6: Kalpeshwar Temple
    2 hours (45 km) from Rudranath Temple

    Drive to Urgam Valley and trek to the Kalpeshwar Temple. Spend the day exploring the temple and the nearby areas. Return to Rudraprayag in the evening.

Recommendations

If you have extra time, you can visit Tungnath Temple and Chandrashila Peak. You can also take a dip in the hot water springs of Gaurikund and Mana Village.
