Getting around the Bahamas can be quite pricey with flights being the most efficient way to travel between islands. You can rent cars on some of the larger islands or hire a taxi, but be sure to bargain with the driver beforehand.
For flights, expect to pay between $100 to $200 per flight, and island-hopping is the best way to really get a feel for the Bahamas.
If you have more time, consider spending an extra day on Andros Island or visiting the Blue Lagoon Island. If you have less time, consider removing the Paradise Island sailing tour.
The Bahamas have two international airports, the Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) in Nassau and the Grand Bahama International Airport (FPO) in Freeport. Lynden Pindling International Airport is located 10 miles from downtown Nassau.
