4-Day Itinerary for Indore, Ujjain, Omkareshwar in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Indore
    10 minutes (4.8 km) from Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport

    In the morning, visit the Lal Bagh Palace, a stunning 19th-century palace built by the Holkar dynasty. Afterward, head to the Kanch Mandir, a Jain temple made entirely of glass. In the afternoon, visit the Sarafa Bazaar, a popular street food destination where you can try local delicacies such as Garadu and Bhutte ki kees. In the evening, take a stroll along the banks of the Khan River and enjoy the cool breeze.

  2. Day 2: Ujjain

    In the morning, visit the Mahakaleshwar Temple, one of the most sacred Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Afterward, head to the Kal Bhairav Temple, dedicated to a fierce form of Lord Shiva. In the afternoon, explore the ancient ruins of the Ujjaini city, believed to be one of the oldest cities in India.   3. Day 3: Omkareshwar
    1 hour 50 minutes (77.5 km) from Ujjain

    In the morning, visit the Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. Afterward, take a boat ride on the Narmada River and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. In the afternoon, visit the Kedareshwar Temple, a popular pilgrimage site. In the evening, take a walk along the ghats and witness the evening aarti ceremony.

  4. Day 4: Indore
    3 hours 10 minutes (142 km) from Omkareshwar

    In the morning, visit the Patalpani Waterfall, a scenic waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. Afterward, head to the Ralamandal Wildlife Sanctuary, a perfect destination for nature lovers. In the afternoon, visit the Annapurna Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to the goddess of food. In the evening, visit the 56 Dukaan, a street famous for its chaat and other local snacks.
