3-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Goa in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore the Beaches
    30 minutes (17 km) from Goa International Airport

    Start your morning at Baga Beach, one of the most popular beaches in North Goa. Take a dip in the water or relax on the beach chairs while sipping on some fresh coconut water. In the afternoon, head to Anjuna Beach, famous for its Wednesday flea market. Shop for souvenirs and try out some local street food. Wrap up the day with a visit to Calangute Beach, also known as the "Queen of Beaches." Take a stroll along the shore and watch the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Visit Historical Places
    40 minutes (20 km) from Calangute Beach

    Start your day by visiting the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage site that houses the remains of St. Francis Xavier. Learn about the history of the Portuguese in India at the Se Cathedral nearby. In the afternoon, visit the Fort Aguada, a 17th-century Portuguese fort that offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea. End your day at the Chapora Fort, which became famous after the Bollywood movie Dil Chahta Hai was shot here.

  3. Day 3: Enjoy Nature and Adventure
    1 hour (45 km) from Chapora Fort

    Start your day with a visit to the Dudhsagar Waterfalls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. Take a refreshing dip in the pool or go on a trek to the top of the falls if you're feeling adventurous. In the afternoon, head to the Spice Plantation and learn about the different spices grown in Goa. Take a guided tour of the plantation and enjoy a traditional Goan lunch. End your day with a sunset river cruise on the Mandovi River.
