4-Day Itinerary for Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Old Goa
    30 minutes (9.5 miles) from Dabolim Airport

    In the morning, visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, where the remains of St. Francis Xavier are interred. Then, head to Se Cathedral, the largest church in Asia. In the afternoon, explore the ruins of the St. Augustine Tower and Church. In the evening, take a leisurely walk around the picturesque Fontainhas neighborhood with its colorful Portuguese-style houses.

  2. Day 2: Aguada Fort and Beaches
    30 minutes (7.5 miles) from Old Goa

    Start your day at the majestic Aguada Fort, built by the Portuguese in the 17th century. Take in the stunning views of the Arabian Sea from the fort walls. Then, head to Sinquerim Beach for a dip in the ocean and some water sports. In the afternoon, visit the secluded Coco Beach and enjoy a seafood lunch at one of the shacks. End your day at the picturesque Candolim Beach to watch the sunset.

  3. Day 3: Dudhsagar Waterfalls
    2 hours (42 miles) from Candolim Beach

    Spend the day at the spectacular Dudhsagar Waterfalls, located in the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary. Take a short trek to the falls, which cascade down from a height of 1,017 feet. Take a dip in the cool waters of the pool at the foot of the falls and enjoy a picnic lunch. On the way back, stop at the spice plantations to learn about the local herbs and spices.

  4. Day 4: Panaji
    30 minutes (7 miles) from Candolim Beach

    Spend your last day in Goa exploring the charming state capital of Panaji. In the morning, visit the famous Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, built in 1541. Then, take a stroll down the historic Latin Quarter of Fontainhas. In the afternoon, visit the vibrant market at Mapusa and shop for souvenirs. End your day with a sunset cruise on the Mandovi River.
