  1. Day 1: Gateway of India

    In the morning, visit the iconic Gateway of India, built in 1924 to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary. Take a ferry ride to Elephanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to explore the intricate rock-cut temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Have lunch at one of the local restaurants serving authentic Maharashtrian cuisine. In the afternoon, visit the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, formerly known as the Prince of Wales Museum, to admire the art, archaeology, and natural history exhibits. In the evening, head to Marine Drive, also known as the Queen's Necklace, for a scenic sunset view.

  2. Day 2: Colaba Causeway

Watch the fishermen auctioning their catch and experience the hustle and bustle of the market. Next, head to the Colaba Causeway, a popular shopping street, for some retail therapy. You'll find everything from clothes and shoes to handicrafts and jewelry. Have lunch at Cafe Mondegar, a famous hangout spot with murals and a lively atmosphere. In the afternoon, visit the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel and learn about its rich history. End your day watching a Bollywood movie at the famous Regal Cinema.

If you have more time in Mumbai, consider visiting the Haji Ali Dargah, a mosque situated on a small islet in the Arabian Sea, or the Mahalaxmi Dhobi Ghat, the world's largest outdoor laundry.
