6-Day Motorcycle Riding Itinerary in Ladakh - July 2023

  1. Day 1: Leh Palace
    10 minutes (2.1 miles) from Leh Main Market

    In the morning, ride to Leh Palace, a nine-storey palace built in the 17th century. From the rooftop, you can enjoy a stunning view of the Leh town. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Namgyal Tsemo Gompa, which houses a three-story statue of Maitreya Buddha. In the evening, head to Shanti Stupa, a white-domed Buddhist stupa known for its panoramic view of the surrounding mountains.

  2. Day 2: Magnetic Hill
    30 minutes (14.3 miles) from Leh Palace

    In the morning, ride to Magnetic Hill, a mysterious hill where vehicles defy gravity and seem to roll uphill on their own. In the afternoon, visit the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a Sikh temple built to commemorate Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s visit to the region.   3. Day 3: Nubra Valley

  6. Day 6: Tso Moriri Lake
    7 hours (217 miles) from Hemis National Park

Enjoy a nature walk around the lake and visit the Korzok Monastery, the largest monastery in the region. In the afternoon, ride back to Leh and visit the Stok Palace, the former residence of the Ladakhi royal family, which now houses a museum displaying royal artifacts and art. In the evening, return to your hotel and relax.

If you have extra time, you can consider visiting the Zanskar Valley, another scenic destination known for its trekking trails and white-water rafting.
