Four Days in Goa: A City Experience Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Explore Old Goa
    30 minutes (13.2 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, home to the tomb of St. Francis Xavier. Afternoon, explore the Se Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Asia. In the evening, walk through the historic Latin Quarter of Fontainhas, filled with colorful houses and street art.

  2. Day 2: Discover Panaji
    20 minutes (7.5 km) from Old Goa

    Start the day at the Immaculate Conception Church, known for its stunning architecture. In the afternoon, visit the Goa State Museum to learn about the state's history and culture. End the day with a sunset cruise on Mandovi River and see the city lights come alive.

  3. Day 3: Relax at the Beach
    40 minutes (16.5 km) from Panaji

    Head to Baga Beach in the morning and try parasailing or jet skiing. For lunch, sample some fresh seafood at one of the beach shacks. Spend the afternoon sunbathing or swimming at Calangute Beach. End the day with a beachside dinner and live music at Anjuna Beach.

  4. Day 4: Go on a Food Tour
    1 hour (29.5 km) from Calangute Beach

    In the morning, take a food tour and taste local delicacies like vindaloo and bebinca. In the afternoon, visit the Mangueshi Temple, one of the largest and most famous Hindu temples in Goa. End the day with a sunset at Dona Paula and enjoy the scenic views of the Arabian Sea.

Make sure to try the famous cashew feni, a local liquor made from cashew nuts. For a side trip, take a day trip to Dudhsagar Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in India. To maximize your fun, book a hot air balloon ride over the countryside. Don't forget to haggle when shopping at the local markets. Always keep an eye on your belongings, especially in crowded areas.
