Leave Hyderabad at 08:00; head west-southwest via NH44/NH65 toward Kurnool/Anantapur and onward to Chikmagalur. This is the longest driving day (~10–12h depending on stops).
Trek to Mullayanagiri peak (highest peak in Karnataka). The trek is a steep 1–2 hour climb from the parking area with panoramic Western Ghats views; recommended early (accessible ~6:00am–6:00pm).
Short drive to Baba Budang range and viewpoint; Manikyadhara Falls (seasonal) is a pleasant quick stop for photos and short walks (access generally open 7:00–17:30).
Short scenic drive to Hirekolale Lake viewpoint (sunset spot) and pass through coffee estates; leisurely walks along estate roads are great for photography.
Have an early hot breakfast in town and depart for Kemmangundi (approx 1–1.5h drive). Kemmangundi gardens and viewpoints open early (roughly 6:00–18:00).
Option A: Trek ~6–8 km (difficult, full afternoon) to Hebbe Falls through private plantation roads (free but long). Option B: Hire a plantation jeep (shared jeep approx INR1200–1500 round trip) to the base and a short walk to the falls. Check availability and private estate timings (jeeps run roughly 08:00–16:00).
Checkout by 12:00 as requested — if returning to Hyderabad, begin the drive back or continue onward plans. Toll estimates and return journey planning follow.
