4-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for North East India in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Kaziranga National Park
    4 hours 30 minutes (240 km) from Guwahati Airport

    Start your morning by exploring the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kaziranga National Park, one of the oldest parks in India, home to two-thirds of the world's population of one-horned rhinos. You can take an elephant safari or jeep ride to get closer to the animals.   4. Day 4: Guwahati
    3 hours 30 minutes (150 km) from Cherrapunjee

    On your final day, visit Guwahati, the largest city in North East India. Visit the Kamakhya Temple, a major pilgrimage site for Hindus, and the Umananda Temple, located on a small island in the Brahmaputra River. Walk along the Brahmaputra Riverfront and enjoy the beautiful views. End your day by visiting the Assam State Museum to learn about the history and culture of the region.
