Mission Trip Itinerary: Miri → Kapit (06‑09‑2025 to 08‑09‑2025)

Day 1: Travel to Kapit & Evening Activities

Morning: The group departs Miri early and follows the coastal highway toward Kapit. A short stop is made at Mukah Junction food stall for refreshments and a quick stretch, allowing everyone to recharge for the road ahead.

Afternoon: After the snack break, the drive continues through lush countryside, reaching Kapit by late afternoon. Travelers check in at the welcoming Bunggas homestay, drop off luggage, and get a brief orientation from the host.

Evening: At 6:30 pm, the team enjoys a hearty dinner in Kapit town, sampling local specialties. The evening proceeds with a KAMC meeting with Fr. Markus Mark at 8:00 pm, followed by a relaxed return to the homestay around 10:00 pm for rest.

Day 2: Community Engagement & Cultural Visit

Morning: After a refreshing start, the group gathers for breakfast in Kapit town from 8:30 am to 10:00 am, where they try local dishes and chat with residents. Post‑breakfast, a short walking tour showcases the town’s market, riverfront, and historic landmarks.

Afternoon: The itinerary continues with the KAMC Mission Fund‑raising and Thanksgiving Lunch from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, offering a chance to support local projects while enjoying a communal meal. Following lunch, everyone returns to the homestay for a well‑earned rest until 5:45 pm.

Evening: At 5:45 pm the team departs for a cultural immersion at a nearby Long house with Fr. Markus Mark. Guests experience traditional Iban hospitality, listen to stories, and share a light dinner before heading back to the homestay.

Day 3: Departure

Morning: The group packs belongings, settles any remaining charges at the Bunggas homestay, and enjoys a light breakfast before checking out. A brief farewell with the host highlights the memorable moments of the trip.

Afternoon: The return journey to Miri begins, with a convenient stop for lunch along the route. The drive offers scenic views, giving travelers time to reflect on the experience.

Evening: The convoy arrives back in Miri by nightfall, concluding the mission trip and allowing participants to rest before resuming regular duties.
