7-Day Itinerary for Delhi, Haridwar, Kedarnath in October 2023

  1. Day 1: Delhi
    Indira Gandhi International Airport to India Gate: 30 minutes (10 miles)

    Take a morning stroll around India Gate, a war memorial located in the heart of Delhi. Afterward, visit the Red Fort and Jama Masjid, two iconic landmarks that are a must-see for any tourist. End your day with a visit to the Lotus Temple, the perfect place to catch the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Haridwar
    Delhi to Haridwar: 4 hours (140 miles)

    Start your day with a visit to the Har Ki Pauri ghat on the banks of the River Ganges, before taking a dip in the holy waters. Later, visit the Mansa Devi Temple and the Chandi Devi Temple, which are both located atop hills and offer stunning views of the city. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti ceremony at Har Ki Pauri ghat.

  3. Day 3: Kedarnath
    Haridwar to Kedarnath: 8 hours (130 miles)

    Take an early morning helicopter ride to Kedarnath, one of the Char Dham Yatra destinations. Explore the Kedarnath Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, and the Bhairavnath Temple. Take a walk around the beautiful Vasuki Tal Lake and capture some beautiful moments. Enjoy the beautiful sunset views of the Himalayas in the evening.

  4. Day 4: Kedarnath

    Start your day with a trek to the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, where you will get a chance to spot some rare species of animals and birds. Take a walk along the Chorabari Glacier and enjoy the serene views. In the evening, take a dip in the natural hot springs at Gaurikund.

  5. Day 5: Haridwar
    Kedarnath to Haridwar: 8 hours (130 miles)

    Take a morning drive back to Haridwar and spend the day relaxing at one of the many yoga and meditation centres. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti ceremony at Har Ki Pauri ghat.

  6. Day 6: Delhi
    Haridwar to Delhi: 4 hours (140 miles)

    Spend your day exploring the bustling streets of Delhi's Chandni Chowk market, where you can find a variety of street food, textiles, and jewellery. Later, visit the Qutub Minar and Humayun's Tomb, two UNESCO World Heritage Sites that are a testament to the city's rich history. In the evening, take a walk around Hauz Khas Village and enjoy the vibrant nightlife.

  7. Day 7: Delhi
    Hotel to Indira Gandhi International Airport: 30 minutes (10 miles)

    On your final day, visit the Akshardham Temple, a modern marvel of architecture. Spend the afternoon exploring the National Museum and the National Gallery of Modern Art, before catching your flight back home.
