2-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Kochi in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Fort Kochi
    20 minutes (6.5 km) from Kochi International Airport

    Morning: Begin your day at Fort Kochi, a historic neighborhood that showcases the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. Head to the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets, which have been in use for over 500 years and are a popular tourist attraction. After that, visit St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India, which dates back to the 16th century.

    Afternoon: For lunch, indulge in some authentic Kerala cuisine at Kashi Art Cafe. After lunch, visit the Dutch Palace which showcases the traditional Kerala-style architecture and exhibits a collection of murals, portraits and artifacts. Finally, take a stroll along Jew Town and visit the Paradesi Synagogue.

    Evening: End your day with a Kathakali performance at the Kerala Kathakali Centre. This traditional dance form of Kerala has elaborate costumes and makeup and is a treat for the eyes.

  2. Day 2: Hill Palace Museum and Cherai Beach
    30 minutes (15 km) from Fort Kochi

    Morning: Begin your day at the Hill Palace Museum, which was once the residence of the Kochi royal family. The museum showcases a collection of paintings, artifacts, and weapons.

    Afternoon: For lunch, head to the Kayees Rahmathullah Cafe and try their famous biryani. After lunch, make your way to Cherai Beach, a perfect place to relax and unwind. The beach offers various water sports activities like surfing, parasailing, and speed boating.

    Evening: End your day with a sunset cruise in the backwaters of Kochi. The cruise will take you through the scenic canals and lagoons of Kochi and is a great way to soak in the beauty of the city.
