3-Day City Experience Itinerary for Bangalore in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Bangalore Palace
    20 minutes (4.8 km) from Kempegowda International Airport

    In the morning, explore the stunning Bangalore Palace, a beautiful blend of Tudor and Scottish Gothic architecture. Built-in 1878, the palace has been the residence of the Wadiyar dynasty and features beautiful gardens and exquisite woodcarvings. You can spend the afternoon at the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, which offers hands-on exhibits on science, engineering, and technology. In the evening, head to MG Road for a stroll and enjoy the vibrant nightlife.

  2. Day 2: Lalbagh Botanical Garden
    15 minutes (3.5 km) from Bangalore Palace

    Begin the morning at the Lalbagh Botanical Garden, a 240-acre park that features over 1,000 species of plants, a serene lake, and a glasshouse modeled after London's Crystal Palace. Take a stroll and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. In the afternoon, visit the National Gallery of Modern Art, which showcases over 14,000 paintings, sculptures, and other artworks. In the evening, head to Brigade Road for shopping or to enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants.

  3. Day 3: Bangalore Fort
    25 minutes (6.2 km) from Lalbagh Botanical Garden

    Start the day by visiting the Bangalore Fort, which dates back to the 16th century and has been witness to several battles and sieges. The fort houses a temple, a mosque, and an arsenal tower. You can then visit the ISKCON Temple in the afternoon, which showcases a beautiful blend of traditional and modern architecture and features a gold-plated flag post and a free vegetarian restaurant. Spend the evening at the Cubbon Park, a 300-acre sprawling park that features a bandstand, a toy train, and several statues.

If you have more time, consider visiting the Bannerghatta Biological Park, which features a zoo, a butterfly park, and a safari, or the Bull Temple, which houses a massive granite statue of Nandi, the sacred bull of Lord Shiva. You can also take a day trip to Mysore, which is about 3 hours from Bangalore and is known for its stunning Mysore Palace, the Chamundeshwari Temple, and the Brindavan Gardens.
