Meghalaya Adventure Itinerary in September 2023

  1. Day 1: Shillong
    30 minutes (7.5 miles) from Shillong Airport

    In the morning, visit the Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India, and marvel at its beauty. In the afternoon, trek to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge, a unique creation of man and nature. In the evening, explore the Mawsmai Cave and witness the natural formations of stalactites and stalagmites.

  3. Day 3: Dawki
    2.5 hours (53 miles) from Cherrapunjee

    In the morning, visit the Umngot River and go for a boat ride in the crystal clear waters. In the afternoon, cross the Dawki Suspension Bridge and visit the Bangladesh border. In the evening, relax at the Shnongpdeng Riverside Camp and enjoy some adventure activities like cliff jumping and zip-lining.

  4. Day 4: Mawlynnong
    2.5 hours (59 miles) from Dawki

    In the morning, visit the cleanest village in Asia, Mawlynnong. Explore the village and interact with the locals. In the afternoon, trek to the Living Root Bridge at Riwai and witness the beauty of nature. In the evening, relax at the Mawlynnong Eco Park and enjoy the sunset.

  5. Day 5: Shnongrim Ridge
    2 hours (50 miles) from Mawlynnong

    In the morning, visit the Shnongrim Ridge and go for a caving expedition. In the afternoon, trek to the top of the ridge and enjoy the panoramic view of the surrounding area. In the evening, return to Shillong and enjoy some local food and culture.
