Land at Phu Quoc International Airport at 9:00am; take a taxi or pre-booked transfer (~30–45 minutes to Duong Dong/Long Beach) to drop luggage and request early check-in or leave bags at reception.
Fuel up with a relaxed hotel buffet or a local café on Long Beach — try a Vietnamese breakfast (pho or banh mi) and strong Vietnamese coffee to start your island time.
Walk along the west coast to Dinh Cau (Cau Temple) for a quick photo/opportunity to learn about the island’s fishing culture, then browse Duong Dong Market for snacks and local goods; market generally open early morning to late afternoon.
Drive ~20–30 minutes east to Ham Ninh fishing village for fresh seafood — many small seafront restaurants grill fish and shellfish; excellent place to try local crab, squid or grilled snapper with rice or vermicelli.
Head to Bai Sao on the southeast coast (about 30–40 minutes from Duong Dong) — one of Phu Quoc’s most scenic white-sand beaches, perfect for swimming, sunbathing and photos; public beach, access typically all day but arranges shade/restaurant service during daylight hours.
Visit Dinh Cau Night Market (open roughly 5:00pm–11:00pm) for an informal seafood feast — choose stalls that grill fresh catches, and sample local street-food favorites like grilled scallops, spring rolls and sugarcane juice.
Finish the night with a quiet walk along Long Beach or a drink at a beach bar close to your hotel. Most bars stay open late but check with your hotel for suggestions.
Drive ~45–60 minutes to An Thoi pier (south of the island) to join a snorkeling/boat tour — plan to arrive 15–20 minutes before departure to check in with the operator.
Half-day boat tour (typical 8:30am–12:00pm) visits several small islands and snorkeling spots; many tours include snorkeling gear, reef time and a simple onboard or beach BBQ lunch — excellent marine life and crystal-clear water.
Disembark around midday; either enjoy a seaside lunch in An Thoi or transfer back toward Duong Dong. If your boat lunch was included, use this time to rest or shower at your hotel.
If you prefer an aerial view and beach on Hon Thom, take the Hon Thom cable car (Sun World) from the An Thoi side — cable car operates roughly from early morning into late afternoon (approx. 8:00am–5:00pm); otherwise choose extra beach time at your favorite spot.
Head to the central/north interior for a short walk at Suoi Tranh stream in Phu Quoc National Park (open ~7:00am–5:00pm) to see forested trails and small waterfalls — a refreshing nature break after a day on the water.
Return to Duong Dong and try a recommended restaurant for fresh seafood or Vietnamese dishes—pick a well-regarded place on Long Beach or near the night market for a relaxed evening meal.
Visit a nearby pepper farm and a traditional fish-sauce maker (open roughly 8:00am–5:00pm) to learn about two signature Phu Quoc products and pick up authentic edible souvenirs.
Return to Duong Dong for last-minute souvenir shopping (pepper, fish sauce, pearl jewelry) and to grab a takeaway lunch if needed; market stalls open early.
Collect bags, check out (ask hotel for late check-out if needed), and depart for the airport allowing at least 45–60 minutes travel time; arrive at airport by ~12:00pm for your 1:00pm flight.
