5-Day Itinerary for Haridwar in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Har Ki Pauri
    10 minutes (2.2 km) from Haridwar Railway Station

    In the morning, visit Har Ki Pauri, one of the most famous ghats in Haridwar, to witness the Ganga Aarti ceremony. In the afternoon, take a dip in the holy river or explore the nearby temples. In the evening, visit the local market and enjoy some delicious street food.

  2. Day 2: Chandi Devi Temple

    In the morning, take a cable car ride to Chandi Devi Temple, dedicated to Goddess Chandi, located atop the Neel Parvat. In the afternoon, head to Daksha Mahadev Temple, one of the oldest temples in Haridwar. In the evening, take a stroll on the picturesque Maya Devi Temple.

  3. Day 3: Mansa Devi Temple

    In the morning, visit the Mansa Devi Temple, dedicated to Goddess Mansa, located on top of the Bilwa Parvat. In the afternoon, head to the Bhimgoda Tank, a sacred tank that is believed to have been created by Bhima, one of the Pandavas. In the evening, visit the nearby Sapt Rishi Ashram and meditate.

  4. Day 4: Rajaji National Park
    1 hour 30 minutes (50 km) from Mansa Devi Temple

    In the morning, go on a safari at Rajaji National Park, known for its rich biodiversity and scenic beauty. In the afternoon, visit the Shantikunj Ashram, a spiritual center that offers yoga and meditation classes. In the evening, enjoy a cultural performance at the Ramlila Ground.

  5. Day 5: Piran Kaliyar
    1 hour 10 minutes (30 km) from Rajaji National Park

    In the morning, visit Piran Kaliyar, a revered Sufi shrine located on the outskirts of Haridwar. In the afternoon, explore the nearby town of Rishikesh, known as the "Yoga Capital of the World." In the evening, witness the Ganga Aarti ceremony at Triveni Ghat and bid farewell to Haridwar.
