Ngorongoro is a UNESCO site and one of the best places to see black rhino, lion, hippo and large herbivores in a single ecosystem; crater open ~6:00am–6:00pm, descent recommended early for light and animal activity.
Continue into the southern Serengeti (or Seronera area depending on season) with game viewing en route; transfer to your camp or lodge with an afternoon game drive.
