Land at Changi (1:00pm). After immigration, take the MRT to your hotel area: from Changi Airport take the East–West Line to Tanah Merah, transfer and continue on the East–West Line to Bugis (EW12). Walk to Mercure ICON City Centre. Expect immigration + transfer time; taxis are quicker with luggage.
Explore Sultan Mosque, shop boutiques on Haji Lane and Arab Street, and soak up the street art and textile shops. Shops are generally open ~10:00–22:00; Sultan Mosque has prayer times (non-tour hours for worshippers).
Eat classic Malay dishes such as nasi padang, mee rebus and sambal favourites at Hjh Maimunah, a respected halal Malay eatery (opens morning to late evening). Good value and local flavours; great introduction to Singapore halal food.
If you have energy, take the MRT: Bugis (DT14/EW12) → Downtown Line to Bayfront (DT16/CE1) to view the waterfront skyline and catch the Spectra light & water show (common start ~8:00pm — check current show schedule). Easy evening photo opportunity.
Have breakfast at a halal-friendly cafe near Bugis or at hotel; recommended local halal spot options include Hjh Maimunah (Malay) or nearby halal-certified cafés. Confirm opening hours (many open from 7:00–8:00am).
From Bugis (DT14/EW12) take Downtown Line (DT) westbound to Chinatown (DT19), transfer to North–East Line (NE) and ride south to HarbourFront (NE1/CC29). Walk to VivoCity and take the Sentosa Express or board the Sentosa Gateway bus to Resorts World Sentosa. Allow ~45–75 minutes travel time depending on transfers.
Spend the day enjoying rides and shows at Universal Studios Singapore. Park typically opens around 10:00am — check exact opening/closing times for 2025 before travel. Plan to stay most of the day (priority queues or Express Pass optional).
There are food courts and outlets inside Resorts World Sentosa; pre-check for halal-certified outlets on the RWS dining list. If unsure, return to VivoCity for a larger selection of halal and Muslim-friendly restaurants (many outlets list halal status).
Take Sentosa Express back to VivoCity → HarbourFront, then North–East Line northbound toward Little India / Farrer Park (NE7/NE8). Mustafa Center (24 hours) is at Syed Alwi Road — ideal for late-night shopping and souvenirs. Travel time ~45–60 minutes from Sentosa.
Mustafa is open 24 hours and stocks electronics, groceries, clothing and souvenirs at very competitive prices — perfect for late-night shopping after USS. Bring a shopping list and check dimensions/compatibility for electronics.
Choose from many halal and vegetarian options in Little India: try South Indian banana-leaf style or vegetarian restaurants (Komala Vilas is vegetarian-friendly) or local Indian Muslim eateries. Little India has many Muslim-friendly restaurants open late.
Have breakfast at hotel or a nearby halal cafe. Confirm hotel check-out time (usually by 11:00am) and arrange luggage storage at hotel if needed while you do a short morning visit.
From Bugis take the Downtown Line to Bayfront (DT16/CE1). Walk to Gardens by the Bay. Outdoor gardens are open early; conservatories (Flower Dome & Cloud Forest) typically open around 9:00am — check current hours and booking requirements. Great morning slot to avoid midday heat.
Depart for Changi Airport. MRT option: Bugis → East–West Line eastbound to Tanah Merah, transfer to Changi Airport branch. Journey ~45–60 minutes by MRT. With luggage, consider a taxi (approx SGD20–30) which takes ~20–25 minutes from city center — aim to arrive at the airport by ~12:00–12:30 for your 2:00pm flight.
At Changi, check in and clear security. Grab a final meal at one of the halal-certified eateries in the terminal if you like (Terminals have halal options). Changi is large and efficient — plan for immigration and boarding time.
