4-Day Goa Itinerary for Shoestring Budget in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore the Beach Towns of North Goa
    1 hour (23.5 km) from Goa International Airport
    10 minutes (4.5 km) from Baga Beach
    15 minutes (6.2 km) from Anjuna Beach

    In the morning, head to Baga Beach, one of the most popular beaches in North Goa, and enjoy a swim or sunbathe on the golden sands. For lunch, try some delicious seafood at one of the nearby shacks. In the afternoon, visit Anjuna Beach, known for its beautiful red cliffs and flea market. Relax on the beach or shop for souvenirs at the market. In the evening, head to Curlies Shack on Anjuna Beach for some drinks and live music.

  2. Day 2: Visit Old Goa and Panaji

    Start your day with a visit to Old Goa, the former colonial capital of Goa and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.   3. Day 3: Trek to Dudhsagar Waterfalls
    2 hours (75 km) from Panaji

    Take an early morning bus or train to Castle Rock, the nearest railway station to Dudhsagar Waterfalls. From there, trek through the lush green forests of the Western Ghats to reach the magnificent waterfall, which is over 300 meters high. Take a refreshing dip in the cool waters and enjoy a picnic lunch. Return to Panaji by evening.

  4. Day 4: Relax on South Goa Beaches
    1 hour 15 minutes (38 km) from Panaji
    20 minutes (10 km) from Colva Beach
    30 minutes (17 km) from Palolem Beach

    In the morning, head to Colva Beach, one of the longest beaches in Goa, and enjoy a leisurely walk or swim. For lunch, try some traditional Goan fish curry at one of the beach shacks. In the afternoon, head to Palolem Beach, which is known for its pristine waters and scenic surroundings. Relax on the beach or take a boat ride to see the dolphins. In the evening, watch the sunset and enjoy a beachside dinner.
