7-Day Adventure Itinerary for Leh, Ladakh in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Spituk Gompa

  4. Day 4: Hemis National Park
    7 hours (250 miles) from Tso Moriri Lake

    Visit Hemis National Park, home to the elusive snow leopard and other wildlife. Take a guided trek to see the animals in their natural habitat. In the evening, camp in the park or stay in a nearby homestay.

  5. Day 5: Pangong Lake
    4 hours (140 miles) from Hemis National Park

    Drive to the beautiful Pangong Lake, famous for its changing colors and appearance in the movie "3 Idiots". Take a walk along the shores and enjoy the stunning scenery. Stay overnight in a lakeside camp or homestay.

  6. Day 6: Kargil
    6 hours (160 miles) from Pangong Lake

    Drive to Kargil, a town with a rich history and cultural heritage. Visit the Kargil War Memorial and learn about the India-Pakistan conflict. In the evening, explore the local bazaar and taste some delicious Ladakhi food.

  7. Day 7: Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa
    5 hours (125 miles) from Kargil

    End your trip with a visit to Leh Palace, a former royal palace with stunning architecture and views of the city. Then, hike up to Shanti Stupa, a white-domed Buddhist stupa with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. In the evening, stroll around Leh's lively streets and do some souvenir shopping.
