2-Day Mumbai BKC, Food, Shopping City Experience

  1. Day 1: Mumbai BKC
    15 minutes (5.3 km) from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

    Visit the Bandra Kurla Complex, known as Mumbai's new financial district filled with towering skyscrapers, designer boutiques and high-end restaurants. Start the morning with a cup of authentic Indian chai and a breakfast sandwich at Starbucks Reserve. Spend the afternoon strolling around the Bombay Art Society for a glimpse of Mumbai's artistic culture. Catch a late afternoon movie at PVR Cinemas and grab a bite to eat at Madeira and Mime, a restaurant where hearing-impaired staff use sign language to communicate with customers.

  2. Day 2: Food and Shopping
    20 minutes (7.4 km) from BKC

    Spend the day indulging in Mumbai's street food and shopping scene. Start the morning at Juhu Beach and try some of the famous vada pav, pani puri, and bhel puri from local vendors. Then head to Phoenix Marketcity to shop for designer clothes, jewelry, and accessories. For lunch, visit the authentic Indian restaurant Masala Library where the menu is inspired by regional Indian cuisine with a modern twist. Spend the afternoon exploring Crawford Market, one of the oldest markets in Mumbai, where you can find everything from spices and teas to souvenirs and clothing. End the day with a sunset view of the Gateway of India and a dinner of seafood and cocktails at Aer, the rooftop bar at the Four Seasons Hotel.

Recommendations

If you have time, consider taking a trip to Elephanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which can be accessed by a ferry ride from the Gateway of India. You can also visit the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, a historic railway station and UNESCO World Heritage Site, to see the beautiful Victorian Gothic architecture. To maximize your fun, consider taking a Bollywood tour to learn about the Indian film industry and visit famous movie sets. Don't forget to try some of the other popular Mumbai street foods like pav bhaji, misal pav, and sev puri. Lastly, try to avoid traveling during the monsoon season, which typically runs from June to September, as it can cause disruptions to your itinerary.
