Load luggage, check car (tyres, oil, coolant), toll tag and documents; leave early to avoid city traffic and to split the long drive into comfortable chunks.
Main highway stretch (~560–600 km depending on exact route) on NH65 via Solapur; expect ~8.5–10 hours driving including short stops. This is the core driving block for Day 1—plan for fuel and tolls.
Midpoint highway lunch to stretch legs and refuel; choose a clean dhaba or highway restaurant open ~11:00am–3:00pm. A relaxed 30–45 minute stop speeds you on your way.
Check into a centrally located hotel (Banjara Hills/Hyderabad Deccan or near HITEC City depending on preference) and freshen up before evening activities.
Walk around the Charminar area and Laad Bazaar to experience Hyderabad’s market atmosphere and pearls/lac bangles; note the Charminar monument structure typically closes around 5:30pm but the surrounding bazaars stay lively into the evening.
Start very early to cover the long drive to Tirupati and to reach Tirumala with daylight; this gives the best chance for an efficient darshan before heavy queues.
Check into a hotel in Tirupati town, store luggage (you may need separate permits/parking for the car if proceeding to Tirumala), and prepare for the hill journey to Tirumala (approx 20–25 km uphill).
Take the permitted car or APSRTC/TTD bus/minivan to Tirumala; road up the hill typically takes about 45–75 minutes depending on traffic. Private cars may have restrictions—use official parking and shared vehicles if needed.
Attend darshan at Tirumala. Note: TTD has scheduled darshan slots and separate paid/special queues — general (Sarva) darshan is free but waiting time can vary widely; check TTD website/app for live slot availability and to book a time.
Overnight in Tirupati town if you plan to rest before onward travel; if you intend to return to Pune by car immediately, finalize plans (this 2-day plan ends with arrival and darshan in Tirupati).
