Day 1: 19 Oct – Darshan at Sabarimala

Morning: Arrive at Chengannur Railway Station by 07:30 AM. Take a pre‑booked taxi to Pamba (≈3 hrs, 75 km). Enjoy a light breakfast at a local eatery near the Pamba river before beginning the trek.

Afternoon: Start the 2‑hour uphill trek from Pamba to the Sannidhanam base (≈4 km). Reach the base by 01:30 PM, rest, and have a simple vegetarian lunch at the pilgrim’s mess. Proceed through the forest path to the sacred Pathinettam Padi and continue to the Darshan Platform for the afternoon darshan.

Evening: Complete the darshan by 05:00 PM. Descend back to Pamba, collect your belongings, and travel to a nearby lodge in Ranni for a restful night (≈1 hr drive). Enjoy a modest dinner and early rest for the next day’s sightseeing.

Tips

Conversely, if you need to shorten the trip, you can skip the Kumarakom back‑water experience on Day 3 and head straight to Kochi for a brief city tour before your flight.
