5-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Kochi Subramanyswamy Temple in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Kochi Fort
    15 minutes (5.6 km) from Kochi Subramanyswamy Temple

    In the morning, explore the well-preserved Kochi Fort which is a symbol of the colonial struggle of European powers in India. Visit Vasco da Gama Square, Bastion Bungalow, and the Dutch Cemetery.   2. Day 2: Cherai Beach
    1 hour (25 km) from Kochi Fort

    Spend the morning at Cherai Beach which boasts of a long stretch of golden sand, clear blue waters and picturesque sunsets. Take a dip in the sea or indulge in some beach sports. In the afternoon, visit the Pallipuram Fort which is one of the oldest existing European monuments in India. In the evening, head back to the hotel for some relaxation.

  3. Day 3: Mattancherry Palace

  4. Day 4: Hill Palace Museum

    Spend the morning at the Hill Palace Museum which was the residence of the royal family of Kochi. The museum has a vast collection of archaeological and historical artifacts, paintings, and royal belongings. In the afternoon, visit the Chottanikkara Devi Temple which is a famous Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Bhagawati. In the evening, head to Lulu Mall which is the largest mall in India.

  5. Day 5: Kerala Folklore Museum
    35 minutes (10 km) from Hill Palace Museum

    In the morning, visit the Kerala Folklore Museum which showcases the rich cultural heritage of Kerala through a vast collection of art and artifacts. In the afternoon, take a boat ride in the backwaters and enjoy the scenic beauty of coconut trees and greenery. In the evening, return to Kochi Subramanyswamy Temple for the evening pooja which is a sight to behold.
