5-Day Bangkok Pattaya Phuket Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Bangkok
    From Bangkok Airport to Wat Phra Kaew it is a 45-minute drive (14.5 miles).

    In the morning, visit Wat Phra Kaew and the Grand Palace. Admire the intricate architecture of the temple and the impressive Emerald Buddha. For lunch, head to Yaowarat, Bangkok's Chinatown, and try some delicious street food. In the afternoon, visit Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn. You can climb to the top of the temple for a breathtaking view of the city. In the evening, explore Khao San Road, known for its vibrant nightlife and street performances.

  2. Day 2: Bangkok - Pattaya
    From Bangkok to Pattaya it is a 2-hour drive (68 miles).

    In the morning, take a stroll through the famous Chatuchak Weekend Market, where you can find everything from clothing to antiques. For lunch, head to Boat Bakery and Café for some delicious pastries. In the afternoon, visit Sanctuary of Truth, a stunning temple made entirely of teak wood. In the evening, check out Walking Street for some of the best nightlife in Pattaya.

  3. Day 3: Pattaya
    From Pattaya to Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden it is a 35-minute drive (15 miles).

    In the morning, visit Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden, a beautiful park with stunning gardens and cultural shows. For lunch, head to Rimpa Lapin, a restaurant with a beautiful view of Pattaya Bay. In the afternoon, explore the underwater world at the Pattaya Aquarium. In the evening, relax on Pattaya Beach and enjoy the sunset.

  4. Day 4: Pattaya - Phuket
    From Pattaya to Phuket it is a 2.5-hour flight.

    In the morning, take a speedboat to Koh Larn, a beautiful island off the coast of Pattaya. Relax on the beach and go snorkeling in the crystal-clear water. For lunch, try some fresh seafood at one of the beachside restaurants. In the afternoon, head back to Pattaya and catch a flight to Phuket. In the evening, explore the night market in Phuket Town and try some local street food.

  5. Day 5: Phuket
    From Phuket to Big Buddha it is a 30-minute drive (7 miles).

    In the morning, visit the Big Buddha, a 45-meter tall statue with panoramic views of the island. For lunch, head to Ka Jok See, a restaurant with delicious Thai food and a fun atmosphere. In the afternoon, take a boat tour to Phi Phi Islands and Maya Bay, where the movie "The Beach" was filmed. In the evening, enjoy the nightlife in Patong, with its famous Bangla Road.

Recommendations

If you have extra time, consider visiting the ancient city of Ayutthaya or the floating markets of Damnoen Saduak. For a side trip, take a ferry to Koh Samui or Koh Phi Phi. To maximize your fun, consider booking a Thai cooking class or a Muay Thai boxing lesson. Don't forget to try some of Thailand's famous street food, like pad thai, mango sticky rice, and tom yum soup.
