Visit the historic Gupt Godavari caves (legendary hideout of Rama-Sita) and the Sphatik Shila, both are compact sites with strong mythological & historical significance; generally open daytime hours.
Attend the evening aarti at Ramghat — one of Chitrakoot's most atmospheric moments; a great photo opportunity and spiritually moving experience. Aarti typically around sunset (approx. 6:00–6:30pm depending on season).
Early departure to reach Prayagraj in the morning (about 2.5–3.5 hours depending on traffic and exact start point) so you can visit Sangam at early hours.
The confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati; morning is best for a short boat ride and a dip. Boat timings are best early morning (approx. 6:00–9:30) — check locally; small shared boats are cheap.

The famous Varanasi aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat is a must-see; arrive early for a good spot on the steps or consider a low-cost boat seat for a different perspective (boat seats available just before aarti).
If the timings permit, a short visit to Kashi Vishwanath or a calm walk along the lit ghats provides a fitting end to the pilgrimage road trip; many temples have late evening darshan windows but check local notices.
