Day 1: Travel & Arrival in Madikeri

Morning: Depart from Margao Railway Station early by the 06:00 am train to Bangalore (≈7 hrs). Enjoy the scenic Konkan coast en route and have a light breakfast on the train.

Afternoon: Arrive in Bangalore, grab a quick lunch, then rent a comfortable car for the 250 km drive to Coorg (≈5 hrs). Stop at Ramanagara for a brief coffee break with mountain views.

Evening: Check into a homestay in Madikeri. Unwind with a leisurely stroll around the town square and enjoy a traditional Kodava dinner.

Day 2: Exploring Coorg’s Natural Treasures

Morning: Visit the majestic Abbey Falls, where the waterfall cascades through lush coffee plantations. Spend time walking the short nature trail and capture photos of the misty scenery.

Afternoon: Head to a nearby coffee plantation for a guided tour, learning about bean processing and tasting freshly brewed coffee. Continue to Raja’s Seat for panoramic views of the valley.

Evening: Explore the historic Madikeri Fort and its museum, then dine at a local restaurant serving “Pandi Curry”. End the night with a relaxed walk along the riverbank.

Day 3: Wildlife, Culture & Departure

Morning: Drive to Dubare Elephant Camp for an interactive experience: feed, bathe, and learn about the gentle giants. Participate in a short trek along the banks of the Kaveri River.

Afternoon: After lunch, visit the sacred source of the river at Talakaveri, perched at 1,276 m altitude. Enjoy the serene shrine and the surrounding shola forests.

Evening: Return to Madikeri, collect your luggage, and begin the drive back to Bangalore for the 22:30 pm train back to Margao, arriving late night on the 18th.
