6-Day Itinerary: Leh, Ladakh, Delhi - July 2023

  1. Day 1: Leh
    Leh Airport to Leh City Center - 15 minutes (3.5 km)

    Explore Leh Palace in the morning, which is a nine-storey palace offering panoramic views of Leh. In the afternoon, visit Shanti Stupa, a white massive dome-shaped structure built by Japanese Buddhists. In the evening, visit the bustling Leh Bazaar, where you can shop for souvenirs and traditional clothing.

  2. Day 2: Leh
    Leh City Center to Pangong Tso Lake - 5 hours (160 km)

    Start early and drive to Pangong Tso Lake, one of the most picturesque lakes in the world. Enjoy the calm and serene view of the lake surrounded by mountains, which changes its colors every hour. Have lunch at any of the small eateries and return back to Leh for an overnight stay.

  3. Day 3: Ladakh
    Leh to Nubra Valley - 5 hours (120 km)

    Drive to Nubra Valley, which is famous for its sand dunes and double-humped camels. Visit Diskit Monastery and take a dip in the hot springs at Panamik Village. In the evening, enjoy a cultural show by the locals and stay at a traditional homestay in a village.

  4. Day 4: Ladakh
    Nubra Valley to Leh - 5 hours (120 km)

    Drive back to Leh from Nubra Valley. En route, visit the confluence of Indus and Zanskar rivers and witness the amazing Sangam view. Later, visit the famous Hall of Fame, a museum dedicated to Indian Army soldiers and their bravery.

  5. Day 5: Delhi
    Leh Airport to Delhi Airport - 2 hours, 25 minutes (1025 km) flight

    Take a flight from Leh to Delhi. In Delhi, visit the iconic India Gate and take a stroll in the lush green lawns. In the evening, visit the Lotus Temple, a beautiful temple shaped like a lotus flower, which looks stunning at night.

  6. Day 6: Delhi
    Delhi City Center to Delhi Airport - 40 minutes (15 km)

    Visit the Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which showcases the grandeur of the Mughal Empire. Later, explore the bustling Chandni Chowk market, which has a variety of street food and traditional shops. In the evening, take a flight back home.

If you have extra time, you can visit the Hemis National Park in Leh, which is home to the elusive snow leopard. You can also take a trip to the Magnetic Hill, which is a gravity hill located near Leh. In Delhi, you can take a day trip to Agra to visit the world-famous Taj Mahal.
