Bhimtal Family Friendly 2-Day Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit Bhimtal Lake
    5 minutes (1.2 km) from hotel

    Start your day by visiting the serene Bhimtal Lake. Enjoy a morning walk on the lake side, feed the fishes and ducks in the lake. You can also enjoy boating and kayaking on the lake. For lunch, savour local delicacies at the restaurants near the lake. Spend your afternoon at the Folk Culture Museum and learn about the rich history and culture of the Kumaon region. In the evening, head to Butterfly Research Centre to witness some of the most beautiful butterflies in India. You can also take a guided tour to learn about the different species of butterflies found in the region.

  2. Day 2: Trek to Hidimba Parvat
    40 minutes (13 km) from hotel

    Start your day early and head to Hidimba Parvat for a fun-filled family trek. You can enjoy a beautiful view of the valley from the top and also visit Hidimba Devi Temple. Don't forget to carry snacks and water for the trek. After the trek, relax at the luxurious Sattal Forest Resort and enjoy a swim in the pool. In the evening, head to the Kainchi Dham Ashram to take blessings from Neeb Karori Baba and enjoy the beautiful sunset view from the Ashram.

Other local attractions that you can consider are Naukuchiatal Lake, Sattal Lake, and Golu Devta Temple. You can also take a day trip to Nainital and enjoy a boat ride in the Naini Lake. To maximize your fun, you can hire a private car and visit all the attractions at your own pace. Don't forget to carry comfortable shoes and clothing for the trek.
