Day 1: Shillong
30 minutes (9.7 km) from Shillong Airport
Morning: Start your adventure by exploring the natural beauty of Wards Lake. Take a stroll around the lake or rent a paddleboat to enjoy the scenic surroundings.

Day 3: Cherrapunji

Morning: Start your day with a visit to the Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India. Take a short hike to the viewpoint for a breathtaking view of the falls and the surrounding area.
Afternoon: Visit the Mawsmai Cave, a natural limestone cave system with impressive stalagmites and stalactites.
Evening: Visit the Seven Sisters Falls, a seven-segmented waterfall named after the seven states of northeast India. Enjoy the stunning sunset view over the hills.

Day 4: Nongriat

Morning: Start your day with a trek to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge in Nongriat. The bridge is made entirely of naturally grown roots and is one of the most unique sights in Meghalaya.

Day 5: Jowai

Aside from the itinerary mentioned above, you can also explore the Mawphlang Sacred Forest, a dense forest that is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. You can also visit the Laitlum Canyon, a scenic canyon that offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills.
