3-Day Adventure Itinerary from Delhi to Nainital in June 2023
Day 1: Corbett National Park
Approximately 6 hours (240 km) from Delhi
Morning: Start your adventure with a jungle safari at Corbett National Park. The morning safari starts at 6:00 AM and lasts for 3 hours. Spot tigers, elephants, and other wildlife species.
Afternoon: Head to the Corbett Waterfall, located about 25 km from the park. Take a dip in the cool waters and enjoy a picnic lunch.
Evening: Drive to Jim Corbett's house, located in Kaladhungi, and learn about the life of the famous hunter-turned-conservationist.
Day 2: Nainital Lake
Approximately 3 hours (67 km) from Corbett National Park
Morning: Start your day with a hike to Tiffin Top or Dorothy's Seat for a view of the Himalayan peaks.
Afternoon: Head to Nainital Lake and go kayaking or paddle boating. For lunch, try the local delicacy, momos, at a nearby restaurant.
Evening: Take a cable car ride to Snow View Point for a panoramic view of the Nanda Devi mountain range.
Day 3: Bhimtal and Sattal
Approximately 1 hour (22 km) from Nainital Lake
Morning: Head to Bhimtal and visit the Bhimtal Lake, the largest lake in the Kumaon region. Enjoy a breakfast of aloo paranthas at a nearby restaurant.
Afternoon: Drive to Sattal, a cluster of seven interconnected freshwater lakes. Go ziplining and trekking in the surrounding forests.
Evening: Visit the Butterfly Research Centre in Jones Estate and learn about the different species of butterflies found in the region.
Recommendations
Consider visiting the Rajaji National Park on your way back to Delhi. You can also take a detour to Mukteshwar and go camping in the hills.
