Day 2: Trek to Tungnath & Chandrashila

Morning: Depart early for Chopta, the “mini‑Swiss” of Uttarakhand (≈3 hrs). Begin the trek to Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in India, passing through lush rhododendron forests.

Afternoon: Reach Tungnath Temple and spend time admiring its stone carvings and panoramic valley views. Continue the ascent to Chandrashila Peak for breathtaking 360° vistas of the Himalayas.

Evening: Descend back to Chopta, relax with a warm cup of tea, and enjoy a cultural folk performance before heading back to Chamoli for an overnight stay.
