6-Day Shoestring Budget Itinerary for Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore Panaji
    30 minutes (12 miles) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, visit the famous Basilica of Bom Jesus and Se Cathedral, followed by a leisurely walk in the Fontainhas neighborhood that reflects the Portuguese influence. In the afternoon, head to the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary and take a boat ride. In the evening, visit the Mandovi Riverfront Promenade, enjoy the sunset and taste the local street food.

  2. Day 2: Relax at Anjuna Beach
    40 minutes (14 miles) from Panaji

    In the morning, head to Anjuna beach and relax on the golden sands while enjoying the stunning view. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Anjuna Flea Market which is open every Wednesday and attracts both locals and tourists. In the evening, have a drink at one of the many beach shacks and watch the sunset.

  3. Day 3: Visit the Dudhsagar Waterfalls
    2 hours (44 miles) from Anjuna Beach

    In the morning, take a scenic drive to the Dudhsagar Waterfalls and enjoy the breathtaking view of the four-tiered waterfall. In the afternoon, hike through the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary and Mollem National Park. In the evening, head back to Anjuna Beach and have dinner at one of the many seafood restaurants.

  4. Day 4: Explore Old Goa
    1 hour (27 miles) from Anjuna Beach

    In the morning, visit the beautiful Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Panaji and then head to Old Goa to explore the iconic churches and cathedrals like St. Augustine's Tower, Rachol Seminary, and Church of St. Francis of Assisi. In the afternoon, visit the Goa State Museum and learn more about the local history and culture. In the evening, have dinner at a local restaurant and enjoy the nightlife in Panaji.

  5. Day 5: Discover the Forts of Goa
    45 minutes (16 miles) from Panaji

    In the morning, visit the historic Fort Aguada and enjoy the beautiful view of the Arabian Sea. In the afternoon, head to the Chapora Fort and enjoy the scenic view of the Vagator Beach. In the evening, relax at the Baga Beach and have dinner at one of the many beach shacks.

  6. Day 6: Relax and Depart
    1 hour (27 miles) from Baga Beach to Goa International Airport

    In the morning, spend some time relaxing at Baga Beach and buy some souvenirs at the nearby Tibetan Market. In the afternoon, head to the airport for your departure.
